Course intro

[00:01] Hello. My name is Lucas Minter, and welcome to my course, create professional responsive websites using Bootstrap. Bootstrap is an awesome front end toolkit with easy implementation. With its built in grid system, it allows you to make your sites dynamic with pinpoint accuracy. You can either copy and paste over the components from the docs [00:20] or build them out yourself. The docs are very detailed with many examples. And as an added bonus, it has a very large community behind it, which makes getting feedback and issues resolved quick. Since Bootstrap just works from copying and pasting the code over directly from the docs, I'll be focusing on trying to help you understand what's happening behind each of those [00:40] Bootstrap classes. To do that, I'll build out each component myself and only applying a few classes at a time so you can see the difference that they make. Each concept that I cover, I'll link to the docs down in the description of each lesson. The docs go into even more detail and show you the CSS that's happening behind each of those different classes. [01:01] For this course, I'll be building out a site for hiking. All the content and layout are based on a comparison of the websites from 2 front running companies in the tech industry. I've supplied you with all the starting files and the images you'll need throughout the entire course. With that said, let's get started.
