There are 2 different ways to get a document's ID when using `@angular/fire`.

You can add the parameter `{ idField: 'id' }` to your collection when using the `collectionData()` observable.

You can also use the observable `collectionChanges()` and access the internal metadata of the document to manually get the ID and add it to the resulting object.

AngularFire is the officially supported AngularJS binding for Firebase. Firebase is a backend service that provides data storage, file storage, authentication, and static website hosting for your Angular app.

You'll learn the 2 Observables that Firebase Authentication provides to subscribe to the authentication state of your application, `authState` and `user`.

You'll see how they both return the same `User` object from Firebase Authentication.

And you'll learn that the difference is that `authState` triggers when the user logs in, or logs out of the application, while `user` is called both of those times, and also is called when Firebase refreshes the user's authentication token.

As a personal guideline, if I need to do an operation when the user's token is refreshed (_for example, update a 3rd party service_) I'll use `user`, if not, I'll default to `authState`.

Rails is a web-application framework that includes everything needed to create database-backed web applications according to the Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern.

When you create a User model with Devise using the command `rails generate devise User`. Devise will create  default columns in the database for your User model. To add your own columns for your users you can create a new Rails migration and add any columns you want for your users.

If you want to give the users the ability to follow or become friends with each other. Rails lets you create a join table in your database and have it reference the user database table.

Once the handler/stream pairs are created, it’s simply a matter of passing the handlers down the stream as props and combining the streams any way you want.

In this lesson, we learn how to parametrize the loader for a nested route in TanStack Router.

We focus on a nested route like `/employees/$employeeId`, where the `$employeeId` is a **dynamic parameter**.

To fetch data for this route, we use a `loader` function that accesses the `$employeeId` parameter. This is achieved by using the params object available in the `loader` function, which contains the dynamic segments of the URL. We then use this parameter to call a function like `getEmployeeById`, which fetches specific employee details from an API.

We start by creating a new `employees` directory and files to represent nested routes, such as `/employees/$employeeId`. The `$` symbol is used to denote dynamic parameters.

We then use the `<Link>` component from TanStack Router to create links to these nested routes, passing necessary parameters.

To render the nested content, we use the `<Outlet>` component (nested), which automatically renders child routes. This approach allows us to dynamically display stuff under a nested route.
