Up and running with Svelte 3

Neural networks, with Keras, bring powerful machine learning to Python applications. They can answer questions like “How much traffic will hit my website tonight?” or answer classification questions like “Will this customer buy our product?” or “Will the stock price go up or down tomorrow?”

In this course, we’ll build a fully connected neural network with Keras. This is the most basic type of neural network you can create, but it’s powerful in application and can jumpstart your exploration of other frameworks. 

We’ll start the course by creating the primary network. Then we’ll:

- build and configure the network, then evaluate and test the accuracy of each
- save the model and learn how to load it and use it to make predictions in the future
- expose the model as part of a tiny web application that can be used to make predictions

You don’t need to know a lot of Python for this course, but some basic Python knowledge will be helpful. Enjoy!

Fully Connected Neural Networks with Keras

In Introduction to Python, we will start at the beginning: Installing python 3 and using virtual environments. Theming allows developers to change the intention and meaning of the application by changing the colors and shadows. 

Accessibility is a huge - often overlooked - feature in modern web applications. Angular Material components all implement ARIA features whenever possible. And for usage scenarios where the ARIA attributes are not explicitly provided and cannot be inferred, then Angular Material will provide details console warnings alerting the developer.

Let’s use the Angular Material Theming service to change the background, primary, accent, and warning colors used within the entire application. These will be configured at startup using the $mdThemeProvider.  

Let’s also resolve the two ARIA warnings shown in console. These originate from icon buttons where the ARIA label cannot be inferred. So let’s add a static aria-label and a dynamic, interpolated aria-label to those buttons.

What is this thing called ARIA? In this lesson, you'll learn about about WAI-ARIA, a.k.a. Accessible Rich Internet Applications, the W3C spec for specifying accessibility information in HTML and SVG. I cover the basics of applying ARIA roles, states and properties, helpful information for creators of user-interface widgets and component libraries. But it's important to note that you might not need ARIA at all! Before using it, it's important to educate yourself on what ARIA does and doesn't do for you.

Learn how to create a modal dialog with accessible keyboard and screen reader mechanics using the native HTML5 dialog element and experimental inert attribute (with polyfills) and JavaScript focus management. We'll explore how to make a DIV or non-modal dialog into a modal one to contrast the differences.
