In this lesson, you will learn how to verify your API server is returning HTTP 400 responses when clients submit incorrect data. Returning HTTP 400 ensures that your clients are notified of the incorrect usage. Testing for them ensures your API returns errors instead of incorrect responses when supplied with incorrect data.

We will use the [NativeScript-Email plugin from Eddy Verbruggen](https://github.com/EddyVerbruggen/nativescript-email) to compose email messages from our app that the user can send out.

We will use the [nativescript-phone plugin](https://github.com/msywensky/nativescript-phone) which provides a simple API to access the device's default phone and SMS applications. This allows us to dial phone numbers from our app using the device's phone capabilities as well as pre filling SMS messages for your app's users.

We will use the [NativeScript Speech Recognition plugin by Eddy Verbruggen](https://github.com/EddyVerbruggen/nativescript-speech-recognition) to convert speech to text. The plugin provides a clean abstraction over the [Android SpeechRecognizer](https://developer.android.com/reference/android/speech/SpeechRecognizer.html) and the [iOS SFSpeechRecognizer](https://developer.apple.com/reference/speech/sfspeechrecognizer).

What is already a nice workflow using Gulp, Browserify, Watchify & Browsersync to enable auto rebuilds & live browser reloading can be further improved by adding Babelify. Gulp is a toolkit for automating painful or time-consuming tasks in your development workflow, so you can stop messing around and build something.

Building upon the `watch` task that we begin this lesson with, we’ll look at how to create a local development server using the `app` directory as the web root. By using Browsersync to achieve this, we can also instruct all connected browsers to automatically reload each time our bundle is re-generated. Browsersync has a public `.stream()` method that is designed exactly for this purpose.

I've been using Cursor for a very long time and their "Agent" feature in Composer is fairly new, so I'm still getting used to it. But since Windsurf recently got onto the stage with their Cascade agent, they've slowly been gaining the mind share on the UX for coding agents. I decided to put them to the test by putting Windsurf and Cursor on the exact same screen side by side trying to accomplish the same task and to see which workflow I would prefer. I've been a diehard Cursor user for over a year now, so it's going to take a lot for me to switch to a different IDE. But I just have to say, even from this simple demo, Windsurf is looking pretty nice.
