Displaying a list of physical locations is helpful, but showing them on a map, giving your potential customers the ability to see how close each store really is to their location is even better.

GraphCMS supports adding coordinates as a field to our data models, where we can dynamically pull those coordinates in and add them to a map.

We'll walk through how we can loop through our store locations and add each one to a new React Leaflet map. We'll also learn about some pitfalls of using React Leaflet in an app framework like Next.js and how we can solve it with dynamic imports and manual image imports.

Accessibility is broken down into 4 categories of disability: visual, cognitive, auditory, motor. 

Regardless of the category of disability, accessibilities aim in web development is to make applications and websites usable for everyone.

To audit our app for accessibility issues at runtime we can use Cypress to run our application in a browser environment and then with the aid of the axe-core `cypress-axe` library we can analyze the current page for any accessibility issues.

In this lesson we install the [Redux Dev Tools](https://github.com/zalmoxisus/redux-devtools-extension#installation) extension into Chrome and demonstrate how it lets you inspect the various actions passing through your redux store as well as all of the data it contains. We also briefly demonstrate the time travel debugging capability as we walk back through and un-add items to our shopping cart.

The key here is that because we used [configureStore](https://redux-toolkit.js.org/api/configureStore) from RTK which automatically includes support for redux dev tool without having to explicitly turn it on.

Optional chaining ?. in javascript is a new feature introduced in ES2020. Optional chaining changes the way properties are accessed from deeply nested objects. It fixes the problem of having to do multiple null checks when accessing long chain of object properties in javascript.

Lighthouse is a tool that analyses web apps and web pages, collecting modern performance metrics and insights on developer best practices.

It's built directly into the Chrome DevTools and in this quick lesson we're going to learn how to run the audit, how to read its results and why you should always run the Lighthouse audit in Incognito mode.

Sometimes you encounter a backend issue which seems to occur only on your computer, with a very specific sets of headers, cookies etc. Because of that, it's useful to have a way of easily sharing network requests sent by your browser with other members of your team.

In this quick lesson we're going to learn how to copy a network request as `fetch` (so we can test it in the Chrome DevTools console/in a node.js script) or as cURL (so we can test it in a terminal).

Sometimes when debugging our CSS styles it's useful to be able to see what a DOM element is going to look like in a given state (e.g. `:focus`, `:active, `:hover`) etc.

Unfortunately it's not possible to both hover over an element and debug it in Chrome DevTools at the same time (since we only have a single cursor!).

In this quick lesson we're going to learn how to address this problem by explicitly forcing an element state to `:hover` with DevTools

In this lesson, we look at how you can use `content-visibility: auto` to significantly improve page load performance by applying it to `section` elements. The property tells the browser to skip rendering an element if it is off-screen and below the fold on the initial load. 

This can introduce some scroll jumping which we walk through how to combat with `contain-intrinsic-size`.

Now that we can pinpoint our location, we noticed that it's not exactly the most accurate indication of where we're at. To help, Leaflet provides an accuracy indicator in meters that we can use to show on the map the margin of error for that location.

Most of us are able to identify where we're located on the map, but it can be hard to visualize that in context to other locations. To help, we can add a marker to the map to show our location.

Rather than setting a location manually, web browsers provide a way that we can request access to someone's location. This lets us personalize features and particularly in our use case, find where the person is on the map to see what's close to them.

While we were able to find our location, Leaflet's geolocation features don't set a marker by default. What they do provide is event handlers that allow us to know when the location is found.

As we just noticed, we don't get the shadows to our markers by default. While we can add a custom one, we can use the default shadows which will work just as well with our custom markers.

Not only can we use the Leaflet Icon instance to add a custom image, we can create completely custom HTML! This opens the door to a lot of possibilities that you can't do with only an image like using CSS to add effects.

Gemini 2.0 has a context window of a million tokens, and this means that you can upload hundreds of files and allow it to inspect and analyze massive refactors across entire code bases. 

This lesson demonstrates concatenating an entire code base into a single file and then uploading it to AI Studio. Once within AI Studio, we ask it to find the types of tasks that it can evaluate for us. Then we select one of the tasks and ask it to generate instructions for that task. TypeScript's satisfies operator finally clicked for me when I realized it's almost always used for specific implementations of configuration objects. I've been using Cursor for a very long time and their "Agent" feature in Composer is fairly new, so I'm still getting used to it. But since Windsurf recently got onto the stage with their Cascade agent, they've slowly been gaining the mind share on the UX for coding agents. I decided to put them to the test by putting Windsurf and Cursor on the exact same screen side by side trying to accomplish the same task and to see which workflow I would prefer. I've been a diehard Cursor user for over a year now, so it's going to take a lot for me to switch to a different IDE. But I just have to say, even from this simple demo, Windsurf is looking pretty nice.

This lesson is just going to walk through creating a CLI using both tools to print out inspirational quotes and to explore how they approach the step-by-step of installing packages and running commands and setting up all the files we need to get this running.
