We'll learn how to integrate Cloudinary into our Strapi application so that we can upload image assets in our Strapi dashboard and the resulting image will be stored in Cloudinary and ready for use in our application.

We'll create a `config/plugins.js` file and paste in some config code that sets Cloudinary as the provider with `cloud_name`, `api_key`, and `api_secret`.

Then we'll install the Cloudinary provider plugin with `npm install @strapi/provider-upload-cloudinary`, add the middleware security that lets us use Cloudinary, and finally add Cloudinary credentials to our `.env` file.

Media is an important part in creating a good UX for potential customers of your store, but when serving large unoptimized images, you can end up giving them a poor experience with long page loads.

We can instead use Cloudinary to automatically optimize our images and resize them on the fly with Cloudinary's programmable media API to deliver a more performant online store.

We will take an existing UI extension, Cloudinary, clone it down, and create our own instance, installing it into our GraphCMS content editor. Once we add that Cloudinary asset as a field, we will select those images directly from our Cloudinary account and serve those images right inside of our app.

One of the other tools I use is Emmet. It's used for writing HTML much more quickly by using shorthand. It can also be used for JSX. VSCode also supports ESLint which we will use and configure in our VSCode `settings.json`. I will also set up Prettier as my default formatter for TypeScript and TypeScript React files.

We can leverage GitHub Actions to automate the running of all of our accessibility auditing tools as part of a Continuous Integration (CI) workflow. 

Auditing tools will only catch a percentage of potential accessibility issues, it is no replacement for manual testing.  But being able to automate the auditing will add efficiencies to our testing and provide an early warning system that can be run much more frequently than it’s practical to perform manual testing.  Additionally, we can use our CI suite as a safety net to prevent code changes that break accessibility from being able to be merged.

Automate Accessibility Audits with GitHub Actions

JavaScript® (often shortened to JS) is a lightweight, interpreted, object-oriented language with first-class functions, most known as the scripting language for Web pages, but used in many non-browser environments as well such as node.js or Apache CouchDB. It is a prototype-based, multi-paradigm scripting language that is dynamic, and supports object-oriented, imperative, and functional programming styles.

We'll discuss the minimum set of files that are required to get up and running with Vue.

We'll add an `index.html` file as our entry point, a `main.js` file that will contain our JavaScript code and a `styles.css` that will contain all of our CSS. We also load Vue into our project with UNPKG which exposes the Vue object to us.

HTML 5 is the structure of our web pages. It is the markup that represents the DOM (document object model).

We'll round out the HTML for our form fields by adding radio buttons and checkboxes, including each in a checked, unchecked and disabled state. You'll learn about best practices for both field types semantically as well as when to use each.

Radio buttons should be used when you want a single selection out of a set of options while checkboxes should be used when you want multiple selections out of a set. A key difference between radio/checkbox and other inputs is that you wrap the label around the options which creates a direct relationship between the label and input so a `for` attribute is not strictly necessary.

Continuing on from our text inputs, we'll make our next field type including a select with the `multiple` attribute. Additionally, we'll include these fields in a disabled state. Both types will use the `.form-group` created in the previous lesson for a touch of layout styling.

You'll notice the same pattern here as with text inputs in that to make select inputs fully semantic and accessible you will need to add a `for` attribute that matches the `id` of the select element

This label needs to be associated with the input through a `for` attribute which allows screen readers to know that a label is associated as well as allows a click of the label to focus the input.

You can use an element with the type "reset" within a form to reset a form on click. It's particularly useful when we don't want users to refresh a page in order to get back to an initial state.

Use the HTML preprocessor Pug to generate markup for a form. Here we generate a set of labels and checkboxes. We link these using ES6 Template Literals with a loop index.

The CSS filter property lets us apply the power of SVG filter effects to HTML elements. One little-known effect included in modern browsers is [`<fePointLight>`](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/SVG/Element/fePointLight). We'll use it together with `<feDiffuseLighting>` to add a light source to an `<h1 />` element.

Nx already comes with a default TypeScript setup. Although you can opt-out of that and generate plain JS based components, especially in a large setup TypeScript can be beneficial in uncovering potential issues early. To add an extra level, Nx also comes with preconfigured eslint for all the apps and libraries. In this lesson we're going to explore the lint setup and how it can be used.

In this exercise, we will be going over 2 examples of when to use aria-hidden (hint: decoration) and when to use hidden.

In the first example, we will be hiding a "middle dot" that we have for formatting. This middle dot isn't necessary to be read out, so we add an aria-hidden attribute on that span.

When we use hidden, we will completely hide things from the viewport AND the screen reader.

I've been using Cursor for a very long time and their "Agent" feature in Composer is fairly new, so I'm still getting used to it. But since Windsurf recently got onto the stage with their Cascade agent, they've slowly been gaining the mind share on the UX for coding agents. I decided to put them to the test by putting Windsurf and Cursor on the exact same screen side by side trying to accomplish the same task and to see which workflow I would prefer. I've been a diehard Cursor user for over a year now, so it's going to take a lot for me to switch to a different IDE. But I just have to say, even from this simple demo, Windsurf is looking pretty nice.
