We'll learn how to integrate Cloudinary into our Strapi application so that we can upload image assets in our Strapi dashboard and the resulting image will be stored in Cloudinary and ready for use in our application.

We'll create a `config/plugins.js` file and paste in some config code that sets Cloudinary as the provider with `cloud_name`, `api_key`, and `api_secret`.

Then we'll install the Cloudinary provider plugin with `npm install @strapi/provider-upload-cloudinary`, add the middleware security that lets us use Cloudinary, and finally add Cloudinary credentials to our `.env` file.

Media is an important part in creating a good UX for potential customers of your store, but when serving large unoptimized images, you can end up giving them a poor experience with long page loads.

We can instead use Cloudinary to automatically optimize our images and resize them on the fly with Cloudinary's programmable media API to deliver a more performant online store.

We will take an existing UI extension, Cloudinary, clone it down, and create our own instance, installing it into our GraphCMS content editor. Once we add that Cloudinary asset as a field, we will select those images directly from our Cloudinary account and serve those images right inside of our app.

In this lesson, we will use the [foambubble template](https://github.com/foambubble/foam-template) to get started building a second brain in VSCode. The template includes a number of extensions. The primary extention is foam itself which generates links between notes that you write similar to the popular personal knowledge management service Roam Research.

**Note:** foam is in alpha so the api is likely to change quite a bit. They project that they have implemented 10% of the features currently roadmapped.

When working in a codebase that has frontend, backend, middleware, service, and other concerns all in the same GIT repository, it can be helpful to color-code your editor windows to quickly recognize in what area of your stack you are working. 

We can easily do this with a few VS Code settings in the `.vscode/settings.json` file in a directory. We can then open those directories in new VS code windows and visually see the difference between our frontend code and our backend code, eliminating cognitive overhead and context switching between, for example, ReactJS and NodeJS.

You're going to run into a lot of frustration writing Node CLI's unless you get good at debugging. (Even if you use TypeScript!) This approach provides flexibility in organizing files while maintaining the convention that file names and locations align with route paths. In this lesson, we learn how to parametrize the loader for a nested route in TanStack Router.

We focus on a nested route like `/employees/$employeeId`, where the `$employeeId` is a **dynamic parameter**.

To fetch data for this route, we use a `loader` function that accesses the `$employeeId` parameter. This is achieved by using the params object available in the `loader` function, which contains the dynamic segments of the URL. We then use this parameter to call a function like `getEmployeeById`, which fetches specific employee details from an API.

In this lesson, we learn how to create nested routes and outlets in TanStack Router using file-based routing.

We start by creating a new `employees` directory and files to represent nested routes, such as `/employees/$employeeId`. The `$` symbol is used to denote dynamic parameters.

We then use the `<Link>` component from TanStack Router to create links to these nested routes, passing necessary parameters.

To render the nested content, we use the `<Outlet>` component (nested), which automatically renders child routes. This approach allows us to dynamically display stuff under a nested route.

All the time, the TanStack Router generator automatically updates the route tree based on file changes - our routing configuration remains consistent 🔥
