Displaying a list of physical locations is helpful, but showing them on a map, giving your potential customers the ability to see how close each store really is to their location is even better.

GraphCMS supports adding coordinates as a field to our data models, where we can dynamically pull those coordinates in and add them to a map.

We'll walk through how we can loop through our store locations and add each one to a new React Leaflet map. We'll also learn about some pitfalls of using React Leaflet in an app framework like Next.js and how we can solve it with dynamic imports and manual image imports.

In this video you'll learn how to use Amplify hosting to deploy a Nuxt site from a Git repository. We'll begin by walking through the steps of creating the deployment and configuring the correct build settings to enable a static build. Once the site is deployed, we'll view the live site hosted on AWS.

In this video you'll learn how to deploy a static Nuxt site to AWS's global edge CDN in less than two minutes. We'll start from scratch, creating a new Nuxt site using npx and walk through the build configuration to set up the deployment target for Jamstack / static site hosting. From there, we'll initialize a new Amplify project using the Amplify CLI and walk through the settings to configure the proper build command for Amplify hosting. Finally, we'll deploy and view the live site. Once we're finished, we'll delete the project and the hosting service.

Now that we can pinpoint our location, we noticed that it's not exactly the most accurate indication of where we're at. To help, Leaflet provides an accuracy indicator in meters that we can use to show on the map the margin of error for that location.

Most of us are able to identify where we're located on the map, but it can be hard to visualize that in context to other locations. To help, we can add a marker to the map to show our location.

Rather than setting a location manually, web browsers provide a way that we can request access to someone's location. This lets us personalize features and particularly in our use case, find where the person is on the map to see what's close to them.

While we were able to find our location, Leaflet's geolocation features don't set a marker by default. What they do provide is event handlers that allow us to know when the location is found.

As we just noticed, we don't get the shadows to our markers by default. While we can add a custom one, we can use the default shadows which will work just as well with our custom markers.

Not only can we use the Leaflet Icon instance to add a custom image, we can create completely custom HTML! This opens the door to a lot of possibilities that you can't do with only an image like using CSS to add effects.

For this extra credit, use a different Leaflet icon type called DivIcon to transform our markers into custom HTML, which you can then style with CSS.

In a lot of cases, not every marker is the same. Sometimes we have a restaurant, but other times we might have a museum, so we should be able to visually represent that type of location to make our map easier to use.

TypeScript's satisfies operator finally clicked for me when I realized it's almost always used for specific implementations of configuration objects. So this lesson walks you through the naive approaches I've taken before and how to solve them using the satisfies operator. After this, satisfies will be another tool in your belt in TypeScript. Windsurf and Cursor are both able to take an image and then use an agent to build out what it sees in that image. This lesson is going to compare Windsurf and Cursor by uploading the same image to both and giving them the same prompt. Comparing not only the results, but also the steps that they take to get there. We'll also try uploading additional images throughout the process to see what they do as far as revising along the way and improving the site as they go along.

I've been using Cursor for a very long time and their "Agent" feature in Composer is fairly new, so I'm still getting used to it. But since Windsurf recently got onto the stage with their Cascade agent, they've slowly been gaining the mind share on the UX for coding agents. I decided to put them to the test by putting Windsurf and Cursor on the exact same screen side by side trying to accomplish the same task and to see which workflow I would prefer. I've been a diehard Cursor user for over a year now, so it's going to take a lot for me to switch to a different IDE. But I just have to say, even from this simple demo, Windsurf is looking pretty nice.

This lesson is just going to walk through creating a CLI using both tools to print out inspirational quotes and to explore how they approach the step-by-step of installing packages and running commands and setting up all the files we need to get this running.
