This course walks you through the steps of creating a News web app using Vue.js and the Nuxt framework. You will learn how to create dynamic pages for each section of your application and load, store, display, filter, and style the data. Then end result will be a News app with multiple category pages, comments for each section, and user pages.

Vue (pronounced /vjuː/, like view) is a progressive framework for building user interfaces. Unlike other monolithic frameworks, Vue is designed from the ground up to be incrementally adoptable. The core library is focused on the view layer only, and is very easy to pick up and integrate with other libraries or existing projects. On the other hand, Vue is also perfectly capable of powering sophisticated Single-Page Applications when used in combination with modern tooling and supporting libraries.

In this video you'll learn how to deploy a static Nuxt site to AWS's global edge CDN in less than two minutes. We'll start from scratch, creating a new Nuxt site using npx and walk through the build configuration to set up the deployment target for Jamstack / static site hosting. From there, we'll initialize a new Amplify project using the Amplify CLI and walk through the settings to configure the proper build command for Amplify hosting. Finally, we'll deploy and view the live site. Once we're finished, we'll delete the project and the hosting service.

Each time a page loads, you can check if you're on the client or server and avoid doing unnecessary loading based on how the page was rendered. Actions contain no functionality, but rather describe an event in our application.  In this lesson we will describe our Actions as they relate to our application.  These Actions will then be available for triggering in our Views and for execution in our Store.

In Flux our Components are referred to as Views, but they are the same familiar Components associated with any React development.  In Flux, however, we have the benefit of the architecture to keep us from having to pass down through a long chain of children Components any functionality that may be embedded in our Stores.  In this Lesson we will wire up all of our Components in record time utilizing the architecture we've already established.

Stores are where the real work in our application is done.  Dispatchers broadcast Actions to all Stores, and the Stores registered to listen for those Actions will perform any logic needed to update our Views.  In this lesson we will establish our first Store and register the Actions we wish to respond to.

You'll begin to notice as you build out your actions in Vuex, many of them will look quite similar. Creating a remove action looks almost the same as the add action except for using the `axios.delete` method then filtering out the deleted todo once the response comes back.

Our build process during this series will utilize both gulp and browserify.  In this lesson we will take a moment to setup our environment and all of the tooling required to begin developing our Flux Application.
