In this lesson, we will look at one of the queries that are part of the semantic queries family and allow you to find an element by its alt text: the byAltText query.
Man 1: [0:00] alt text allows you to describe the way something looks. If you want to, you can leverage the byAltText query of the semantic query's family to query for something using its alttext.
[0:10] Let's look at our component. In here, we have an image that has the alt text of logo. If we want to, we can use this logo and the byAltText query to find this element. In our test, let's start by destructuring the getByAltText query from render. Secondly, let's call the query and pass the alt text of the element we want to find.
[0:30] In this scenario, this alt text is logo. Lastly, let's add our assertion to make sure it is in the document. Now, if we run our test, you should see that it works.
