In this course, Colby is going to do a deep dive into creating a full store for your products. You'll learn how to set up and use GraphCMS as your content management system. You'll learn about the Cloudinary UI extension and how to use it to host your images. You'll learn about Snipcart and using the useSnipcart hook to handle the cart state and the checkout. You'll learn how to implement Stripe as your payment gateway. And lastly, you'll learn how to deploy a Next js app to vercel from github with environment variables.

While we have a lot of options for the different payment gateways that we can use in order to take payments, we're going to use [Stripe](https://stripe.com/), which is a well-known secure payment processing platform, where it's going to be able to easily integrate into our Snipcart account.

Once we add our Stripe account, we will head over to the Snipcart dashboard where we will connect Stripe as our payment gateway, which simply allows us to go through an authentication process, where we will have Stripe configured.

We want to make sure that when we add something to the cart, we're going to be able to actually add it to our cart. I'm going to be using [Snipcart](https://spacejelly.dev/snipcart) to handle my cart and checkout flow. 

We will also our cart update inside of our header with that dynamic value. To do that, we will sign up and install Snipcart where we add the installation to a custom document file and add our class name and data attributes to all of our Add to Cart buttons.

Lastly, we will install the useSnipcart hook so that we can grab that context to show that subtotal anywhere inside of our application.

Gulp is a toolkit for automating painful or time-consuming tasks in your development workflow, so you can stop messing around and build something.

Babel has support for the latest version of JavaScript through syntax transformers. These plugins allow you to use new syntax, right now without waiting for browser support.

What is already a nice workflow using Gulp, Browserify, Watchify & Browsersync to enable auto rebuilds & live browser reloading can be further improved by adding Babelify. A simple wrapper around the popular transpiler Babel, Babelify can ‘transform’ source files as they pass through our stream to enable certain Javascript features not yet available in the Browser or Node. We end the lesson by looking at how to generate & extract sourcemaps using `exorcist`.

Building upon the `watch` task that we begin this lesson with, we’ll look at how to create a local development server using the `app` directory as the web root. By using Browsersync to achieve this, we can also instruct all connected browsers to automatically reload each time our bundle is re-generated. Browsersync has a public `.stream()` method that is designed exactly for this purpose.

Beginning with a single Gulp task capable of generating a one-time Browserify bundle, we enable file-watching and incremental rebuilds by incorporating Watchify. We add a second task `watch` & refactor our initial code to enable the bulk of it to be re-used. We’ll look at exactly how to ‘wire’ these tools together and how the relationship between Watchify & Browserify can manifest into a seriously efficient workflow.

Let's look at the basics of setting up Gulp and Browserify. Creating a Gulp task from scratch, we'll cover how to utilise the Browserify API to generate a single `bundle.js` file, catch and log any errors that occur in the compilation process, transform the stream into a format that can be consumed by `gulp.dest` and finish by writing the bundle to a `dist` directory.

It's easy to repeat over a collection and render many elements. Riot works very similar to Angular and has various syntaxes for it's each attribute. We'll look at the typical syntax for arrays, a shortened syntax, and an object key/value syntax.

Riot takes a 'keep your styles close' approach with custom tags. You are encouraged to place your styles for a tags element right inline with the html and javascript. Learn how riot parses the inline styles as well as ways to keep your styles from bleeding out to the rest of your app. Scoped styles provide great isolation for your custom tag. Use the class attribute's special binding syntax to easily add and remove a class based on an expression.

Riot can listen for raw dom events on any element by adding the on* attribute to elements and referencing an event handler. Let's walk through a couple examples.

Every tag in Riot has a lifecycle. I'll explore the three hooks: mount, update, and unmount while adding an animation feature for an existing tag. Lifecycle hooks are important for setting up, tearing down, and keeping a tag's view up to date after external logic is run.

It's positioned as a high-performance, cost-effective option.   * Vercel shared insights on the [grep.app migration from CRA to Next.js](http://grep.app/), showcasing performance improvements.   * Project IDX has officially become [Firebase Studio](https://x.com/_davideast/status/1909990728593453455), positioning itself as a cloud-based, agentic dev environment for full-stack AI apps, deeply integrated with Firebase. I've tried spinning up a few sites with it, and the speed is impressive. However, for more complex tasks like designing from images or intricate interactions, I still find myself leaning towards v0 for now.

  * Google quietly released the [Agent Development Kit (ADK)](https://x.com/omarsar0/status/1910004370864742757), a Python library (`pip install google-adk`) for building multi-agent systems with features like state management, tool usage, and orchestration. I gave the Gemini Code Assist extension a try myself, but as someone deeply embedded in the Cursor workflow with established keyboard shortcuts and patterns, I struggled to find a flow I liked and didn't stick with it for long. It's interesting to see different perspectives, though!

* **Cloudflare Corner:**

This is huge news, in my opinion. Think about all the WordPress sites and other applications that rely on containerization. Cursor's AI Agent has the abilitly to invoke MCP tools, but they lack direct access to your project. This lesson shows how to build custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) server tools that bridge this gap. Learn to define tool parameters using Zod schemas and the crucial `.describe()` method to explicitly request necessary context from the Cursor environment *before* your tool runs. See how the AI gathers this information (like Git status or version via terminal commands, or web search results) and passes it to your tool, enabling powerful, context-aware automation.

**Workflow demonstrated in this lesson:**

*   Scaffold a basic MCP server using a Cloudflare template (`pnpm create cloudflare`).
*   Run the MCP server locally and configure it in Cursor settings.
*   Define MCP tools (e.g., `status`) within the server code (`index.ts`).
*   Specify required context for tools using Zod schema parameters and `.describe()` (e.g., requesting "The status of the git repository").
