Learn how to import an image into a component using webpack (don't worry, you won't be in any config files), the simplest recommended approach to adding a single image.

Instructor: [00:00] With a local image in your repository, you can import the file into a component, like you would any other component. Then, a normal image tag can be used by providing the name you've imported as the source attribute.

[00:17] If you log the value of the imported file, or check its type, you'll see that Webpack is moving the file into the static folder for you, as well as minifying it, and giving you its location in the static folder. The type of the import is of type string.
