In this lesson, we will show how you can use Markdown to write your posts. We will install the WP Githuber MD - WordPress Markdown
plugin to easily add this functionality.
Instructor: [0:00] I feel like it's always a good rule that there's a plugin for anything you want to do. A lot of tech bloggers like to write their posts in MDM or Markdown, and there's a plugin for that. In fact, there's lots of them. We're going to install this one which uses the GitHub Markdown syntax, and then I'll activate it.
[0:16] Now, instead of the Gutenberg Editor, I have this Markdown Editor so I can say, "Hello," header. Maybe I want a list. [inaudible] over Markdown.
[0:29] I can write my post to Markdown if I feel like today. I got a preview here. Then if I publish it, let's see what that looks like on our backend. Let's go by Markdown we get our rendered content, just content with no classes and things.
[0:43] If you're used to writing your blog in Markdown and your frontend used to consuming Markdown, then you're going to be able to do that with this WordPress plugin.
